About this Training Course

Safety Solutions and Supply’s Straight mast forklift training is a 4-hour class that adheres to the standards outlined in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 powered industrial truck operation as well as other applicable OSHA standards and will help you identify hazards, selection of equipment, protection vs. prevention, inspections and much more.

Our professionally certified trainers will teach you the fundamentals of forklift safety and will ensure your employees are competent forklift operators. All students will receive a certificate and card upon successful completion of both classroom and practical examinations.

What is required to certify a forklift operator?

The OSHA standard requires employers to develop and implement a training program based on the general principles of safe truck operation, the types of vehicle(s) being used in the workplace, the hazards of the workplace created by the use of the vehicle(s), and the general safety requirements of the OSHA standard. Trained operators must know how to do the job properly and do it safely as demonstrated by workplace evaluation. Formal (lecture, video, etc.) and practical (demonstration and practical exercises) training must be provided.
