Fall Protection Competent Person Training
Safety Solutions and Supply’s 8-hour Fall Protection Competent Person Training adheres to the standards outlined in OSHA 29 CFR 1926.32 as well as other applicable OSHA standards. This class teaches workers to identify hazards, select proper equipment, and perform inspections. This program qualifies workers as designated competent persons. Our professionally certified trainers will teach workers the fundamentals of fall protection.
What is a Fall Protection Competent Person?
A competent person is defined by OSHA as a designated person with sufficient experience and/or knowledge to recognize fall hazards, correct unsafe conditions, and who has the ability to shut down the worksite until any hazards are corrected. A competent person is a knowledgeable person, in this case, about fall protection.
