COVID-19 has impacted so many of our individual lives and businesses, and several business owners are unsure of what the future holds. - Prevent and reduce transmission among your employees
You can do this by making sure your employees have access to all the current information available. Remind them that there are 3 reasons to stay home. First, if they have symptoms, second, if someone in the household has COVID-19, third, if they’ve had contact with any who has COVID. You can also reduce transmission by encouraging your employees to wash their hands often, avoiding touching their eyes, nose, and mouth, and covering their mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
- Maintain healthy business operations
The CDC recommends identifying a coordinator who will be responsible for COVID-19 issues and their impact at the workplace and implementing sick leave policies and practices that are flexible and supportive. You’ll also want to establish social distancing policies and practices such as flexible worksites, hours, and meeting options. In addition to modifying the workplace, to increase physical space and using signs to indicate where to stand.
- Maintain a healthy work environment
The CDC recommends modifying your ventilation systems, ensuring the safety of the water system, and supplying employees and customers with needed supplies to clean hands and cover coughs.
